Baptist representatives Mark and Peggy Rutledge ask you to pray for a group of three Haitian migrant families who are just starting to process everything that has happened to them and learn of the salvation that comes only through Jesus. Generally, within seven days of a birth, the imam of a local mosque will give a Hui child an Islamic name from the Quran. This name is considered the person's true name, even though the child will also be given a Chinese name before starting school. It is customary for Muslims to sacrifice a sheep for protection over the child's life. When male children are circumcised, usually after five years of age, Hui families celebrate with a feast. These childhood rituals, not practiced among the Chinese majority, reinforce the cultural identity of the Hui, further separating them from non-Muslim Chinese. […]

Pray for believers throughout the Asia-Pacific Rim to treasure their salvation and live in a way that makes others want what they have. As they are continually transformed by the renewing of their minds, may they truly live as God's ambassadors. As God has gifted them individually in unique ways, pray they will use their gifts wisely, serving God enthusiastically. May they never let evil win but conquer evil by doing good. May they live humbly and relate well to others in times of both joy and sorrow.

"It's exciting to see believers around the world getting a heart for Central Asia! Please pray for burgeoning partnerships with some good churches in both Kenya and Zambia that want to send cross-cultural workers to Central Asia. In addition, there is a good network of churches in Moldova that are populated mainly by a minority people group that want to send workers to Central Asia. Pray for wisdom regarding how to build the partnerships, where to place them, and how to train and care for them well."

(LOH-zee) - Pray for the Lozi of the Western Province of Zambia. Ministry takes place in various programs led by the Zambian home missionary in the area. Pray that the Spirit will lead the churches that are being started and the discipleship that is taking place.

The Maluku Islands can be a volatile place, with tensions often high between religious groups. The 16,000 Seit and Kaitetu people are majority Muslim and are currently unengaged and unreached, meaning they have no one consistently proclaiming the gospel in their area. Please pray that brave believers will plant themselves among the Seit and Kaitetu people and boldly share the gospel. Pray for the Seit and Kaitetu people to be ready and willing to listen to the good news and eagerly commit to being disciples of Christ.
