Students come from many far islands to attend college in a small city in Southeast Asia. Many of these young people are studying to become health professionals, like nurses and midwives. These students come from predominately Christian islands. Some are truly following the Lord, while others merely call themselves Christians. A local pastor has a heart to reach these students and disciple them to have a missional heart. Workers in the area share his vision to train them now and send them back out to their home islands. Please pray for God to make a way to reach these students. […]

(van-COO-ver) - Recently, an evangelism training was done by the WestCoast Baptist Association in Vancouver. Believers gathered together to learn to tell their own story of coming to faith, as well as two different ways to share the gospel. Pray that this will bear much fruit as they share the gospel with family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, co-workers, etc. Pray that many will hear and understand the gospel and will follow Jesus. "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how […]

The Zenaga people are a small Berber population who live in Mauritania, a desert land along the western coast of North Africa. Their language, Hassaniyya, is becoming less known among the young people and is spoken primarily among the middle-aged and the elderly. The Zenaga people like to be known as the Amazigh, meaning "free men," a term they prefer over Berber. Freedom continues to be a core value and is of great importance to the people. They long for freedom. "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 ESV). […]

(ty-muh-LAY) - "After hearing a challenge about the need to grow up in Christ and give away the good news to those around them, a local body of believers wants to partner with our team to reach the lost in southernmost Thailand. Praise God for this small group of believers for being strong and courageous to engage the Thai-Malay with the gospel."

"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest" (Luke 10:2 ESV). Volunteer teams sent from churches in the United States are an answer to prayer and a life-giving blessing to the work among the countless lost people who are needing to hear the good news of Jesus! This month, there will be a sports outreach camp led by volunteer teams from two U.S. churches who are partnering together to see a Central Asian community reached with the love of Christ. Please pray for […]

Paris is famous for its many cafés with outside seating, bakeries, and sweet shops. Pray that every day during the Olympics IMB missionaries and volunteers will have people willing to sit down at a café for conversations and consider the gospel message.

The People by the Water live in a tropical paradise that is spiritually dark. Pray that God's light will shine brightly on these multi-cultural and multi-religion people through the witness of the few Christians who live among them. Pray for God's Holy Spirit to move over the people and draw them to Himself. May they declare, "The LORD reigns! Let the earth rejoice; let the many coasts and islands be glad" (Psalm 97:1 CSB).

(WEE-wah) - "'Are you married to Jesus?' one woman asked her sister last month. Our Valledupar Team had shared the story of the last supper and the meaning of the Lord's Supper. Jesus said, 'This is My blood of the new covenant' (Mark 14:24 NKJV). 'What is a covenant?' they asked, so we explained it using the example of marriage. This new covenant is between us and Jesus; it's one where He promises to always be faithful, where He loves us so much that He laid down His life for us. It's also one that requires our trust in Him, […]
